Explore Nature in Collin County

Here are three great places to take a walk amongst native vegetation including hills and towering trees hundreds of years old. They will leave you thinking you are a long way from the city and have taken a step back in time.

Arbor Hills Nature Preserve

Scenic Preserve with creek, hills and winding trails. 1.5 Miles of Paved trails. Additional unpaved trails including unpaved bike trails.

Connemara Nature Preserve

Nestled between Plano and Allen, these 72 acres were a gift from the Late Frances Williams on the condition that the land would be undeveloped and kept as a nature preserve. What a wonderful gift that has brought so much joy to the many that have visited this preserve. A great combination of tree-lined meadows and a cavernous winding creek lined by towering native trees. A favorite for dog owners and nature lovers alike. There are no concrete trails and cyclists are not permitted.
